Abstract: In order to achieve an antenna with robustness to metal for closed space wireless communications, two types of the folded monopole antenna with different input impedance have been studied. In this study, we propose the folded monopole antenna, which can switch the input impedance by a simple method. Both simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna can improve robustness to the proximity of the metal.
